EVENTS AT ESQUIRE THEATRE
SHAKESPEARE’S GLOBE ON SCREEN Presents:
In High Definition
Thursday, March 26th, 7:30 pm
Synopsis: Returning to Rome from a war against the Goths, the general
Titus Andronicus brings with him the queen Tamora and her three sons as prisoners of war.
Titus' sacrifice of Tamora's eldest son to appease the ghosts of his dead sons, and
his decision to refuse to accept the title of emperor, initiates a terrible cycle of mutilation, rape and murder.
Grotesquely violent and daringly experimental, Titus was the smash hit of Shakespeare’s early career,
and is written with a ghoulish energy he was never to repeat elsewhere.
This production caused a stir throughout the UK media due to staged violence so realistic that throughout its run,
audience members were fainting. In the theater, you'll be on the edge of your seat, as well.
General admission: $15. Students: $12.
CRITICS CLUB MEMBERS: $12. (Please present card; limit two per card holder)

A story about a magician, escape artist, and world-renowned enemy of deception,
James ‘The Amazing’ Randi. The film brings to life Randi’s intricate investigations
that publicly exposed psychics, faith healers, and con-artists with quasi-religious fervor.
But when a shocking revelation in Randi’s personal life is discovered,
it isn’t clear whether Randi is still the deceiver – or the deceived.

What separates them from other paranormal teams?
They're "researchers and skeptics" first. Come hear their stories, and perhaps
share your own.

Drama/musical. Based on the Andrew Lloyd & Tim Rice rock opera.
(Stirred controversy when it was released.)
"…a bright and sometimes breathtaking retelling of the rock opera." - Roger Ebert, 1973
The last days of Jesus Christ from the perspective of Judas, his betrayer.
"Following his success with the adaptation of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF,
director Norman Jewison experimented with a hippie-influenced sensibility on JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.
Among such touches are depictions of the cast arriving via bus to mount the show, modern
high-tech weaponry in the hands of the ancient Romans, and on-location filming in Israel."
