Outer Cinema Cincinnati returns to the Esquire Theatre on March 25th for a screening of new-media pioneer Shu Lea Cheang’s debut 1994 feature, the cyberpunk ecofeminist satire FRESH KILL! Set in a future NYC dystopia where high class dining and toxic waste dumps exist side-by-side, a landfill salvager and a sushi waitress must unravel a global conspiracy involving corporate greenwashing, TV disinformation, urban paranoia and polluted fish in order to solve their daughter’s disappearance.
